Spotlight on Women’s History Month

Need a break from the routine? Tired of going to class-studying-going to class-studying? Why not attend one of the many events happening on campus? All kinds of events are listed in the CSN events calendar that are open to students, faculty, staff, and even the public.

This month CSN Libraries shines a spotlight on women by displaying books on topics related to the events sponsored by the CSN Women’s Alliance. Here are some of the upcoming events:

  • Women’s History Month Henderson Mixer: Thursday, March 21, 2 to 4 p.m., Henderson Campus, C Building, Room 133. Food, prizes, presentations, questions, discussions & more!
  • Nevada Women’s Film Festival: Thursday through Sunday, March 21-24, Eclipse Theaters (814 S. Third Street). See event website for times and details.
  • Women’s History Panel Discussion- Reproductive Rights in the Era of Trump: Monday, March 25, 6:30 to 9 p.m., Charleston Campus, K Building, Room 101. A panel of experts from the ACLU, Planned Parenthood & UNLV’s Sociology Department will discuss issues surrounding women’s reproductive rights under the Trump administration.
  • How Long Must Women Wait for Liberty? Wednesday, March 27, 3 p.m., Charleston Campus,  D Building, Room 101. A stage reading from Dr. DeAnna Beachley’s book of poetry on the women’s suffrage movement.
