CSN Film Students Earn a Record 26 Emmy Award Nominations

The college’s student film-makers took home eight of the prestigious awards last year

 LAS VEGAS, May 25, 2017 – Students from the College of Southern Nevada’s Videography & Film program received 26 Student Production Emmy Award nominations, the Pacific Southwest National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences has announced.

The more than two dozen nominations follows a record eight Emmy wins in 2016 for CSN students. CSN students swept the nominations in several categories this year.

“Our students put in a tremendous amount of hard work to create these films,” said John C. Aliano, Program Director of CSN’s Videography and Film program. “I could not be more proud of them than I am today. Twenty-six nominations is simply incredible.”

Students honored with the nominations are: Violet Baldwin, Romance Barragan, Dale Eggert, Yonus Ford, David Hanbridge, Zachary Honea, Bryan Paulson, Dylan Shults, Randy Sly, Bryen Trawick and Billy Ward. Several had multiple nominations.
