Dear CSN Family,
In the last 24 hours, CSN has learned that one of our students has tested positive for COVID-19. This is the first confirmed case at CSN. The student was last on the Charleston Campus on March 11, 2020 in Building K. The student is now self-quarantined and is following protocols set by state health officials and the CDC.
We are working closely with the Southern Nevada Health District’s Office of Epidemiology and Disease Surveillance to address any issues that may arise. The Health District is contacting anyone who may have been exposed due to extended close contact with the patient and will determine if further testing is needed. Moreover, we will continue to follow the COVID –19 protocols set forth by the CDC to prevent spread of the disease. You can find information on how to stay safe on our website at www.csn.edu/coronavirus.
We will continue to be fully transparent and keep you informed as part of the Clery Act requirements. We will share additional confirmed of any cases involving members of the CSN community at www.csn.edu/coronavirus/confirmed.
I know that I join the entire CSN family in sending our best wishes and collective support for a quick recovery to our student. Please keep all of those across our community affected by the disease in your thoughts.
