You’re stressed out. We get it. You just finished mid-terms and you’re deep into your research papers and your group projects and finals are coming up and, man, you’re thinking, why did I sign up for so many credits?
That’s Petey, a therapy dog. Ain’t he cute?
But don’t worry. You got this. You just need to relax a little.
We’re going to help you do that. Just stop by the Charleston campus library from 2 to 4 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 20.
We’re going to have a half dozen therapy dogs visiting, to help you chill out.
“Just having a short break, even ten or twenty minutes of thinking about something else, can make a big difference,” said Beth Schuck, CSN’s Library Services director.
She noted that the libraries at CSN are often gathering places for students. And given the typical stresses that students can be under at this time of year, the library folks thought it might help to offer a brief distraction.
The dogs are visiting from Love Dog Adventures, a non-profit, all-volunteer animal assisted therapy program.
So if you feel like you need a quick break to take your mind off things, be sure and stop by the library next Thursday. It’ll be fun.
