Sandra Gammage is an Administrative Assistant on the Charleston Academic Advising team. She is known for her ability to help students navigate the enrollment process at CSN. Her vast knowledge base translates to helping CSN students feel at ease during the beginning of their academic journey.
“Sandra is always willing to go above (and beyond) — she is always prompt and ready to bend over backwards for anyone who walks through the door,” wrote her colleagues. On countless occasions she has helped overwhelmed students overcome the challenges of college life. “Sandra is able to calm and connect with overwhelmed students when they are feeling lost,” they wrote. “This is what helps students stay enrolled in college and it really encourages them to seek guidance from academic advising staff.”
Gammage has been a loyal CSN employee for many years and her ability to adapt to evolving environments while maintaining her composure is remarkable. She is well-known for service excellence with colleagues and students alike. “She is often the first person students see (when interacting with CSN),” wrote her colleagues. “She always leaves a lasting positive impression.”
During peak enrollment periods, Gammage consistently eases the stress of students and employees by maintain a positive outlook. She frequently interacts with more than 100 students daily and provides the same excellent service to each one. Congratulations Sandra!

The Classified Employee of the Month will receive $200, a certificate, a designated parking spot on campus and be recognized on a plaque at all three campuses. The purpose of this award is to recognize exceptional classified employees who stand out among the many employees that consistently perform at a high level. Please nominate those individuals that are thriving in the work at home environment.
Ranking and selection by the council members is “blind.” The employee’s name and work area on the nomination form will be hidden from the council, thus we are asking for the nominator’s cooperation in not mentioning names and work areas in the narrative, when possible. Nominees who are not selected as the CEOM, will be considered for two additional months.
