We’re always going on around here about how huge we are. CSN is the “state’s largest and most ethnically diverse higher education institution.” That’s a thing we say in every press release we send out.
That’s important, and not just for students. If you sell things, listen up.
CSN is so huge that, even in today’s so-called paperless climate, we still go through five tons of copier paper every year. That’s a million sheets.
So if you’re a business owner who sells things like copier paper, you might want to figure out how to sell that paper to CSN. We’re going to tell you, this Friday.
The Supplier Inclusion Event will take place from 7:45 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Friday in the Morse Arberry Jr. Telecommunications Building at CSN’s Cheyenne campus. It seeks to attract a variety of Southern Nevada organizations to connect them with the people at CSN who make buying decisions.
“CSN is this community’s college and we want our goods and services to come from this community,” said Rolando Mosqueda, CSN director of purchasing. “This event helps connect businesses with CSN. It can also help save the college money through local partnerships with businesses that understand our unique needs and mission.”
The Supplier Inclusion event is also sponsored by the local Asian Chamber of Commerce, Latin Chamber of Commerce, and Urban Chamber of Commerce.
Vendors will be able to meet administrators and purchasing decision-makers at the college, as well as get useful tips on how to grow their businesses.
Local businesses requesting more information are encouraged to contact the CSN Office of Diversity at 702-651-4272 or email diversity@csn.edu.
