The event is part of the college’s Women’s History Month activities
LAS VEGAS, March 8, 2017 – CSN students will have a chance on March 10 to help conduct a mass Wikipedia edit as part of Women’s History Month.
Students will gather in the CSN Library between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. to scour the internet encyclopedia for entries about women important in Nevada history. They’ll add entries for those who don’t yet have them, conduct research in the library, and make corrections when needed.
Some historically important women whose entries might be updated include Lilly Fong, a former member of the Board of Regents, Native American activist Sarah Winnemucca, and African American civil rights activist Lubertha Miller Johnson. The event is hosted by the CSN Women’s Alliance Diversity Committee and the CSN Library.
