CSN Launches New App

CSN Mobile allows students to search for classes, access online courses, use campus maps, find out about college events and register for classes.

LAS VEGAS, November 4, 2013 – CSN students can register for the spring 2014 semester, starting today, and now they can do it on the go!

CSN launched its new mobile application today, the first day of early registration for the spring 2014 semester.

CSN Mobile is now available in the iTunes Store and Android Market. The easiest way to download it will be to direct your mobile device to: www.csn.edu/mobile.

“This is a great way for students to better connect with CSN and now they can literally do it anywhere,” said CSN Vice President of Academic Affairs Dr. Darren Divine. “Approximately 55 percent of Americans have smart phones, a figure which is rapidly growing by about 50 percent each year. This is where we must reach our students.”

There is no cost to download the app. Students and community members can use it for the following functions:

 

Course Search: Shop for CSN classes

Campus Contacts: All the phone numbers you need for student services, including the Call Center, IT help, financial aid, student success coaches and more are available by campus at the touch of a button

Canvas: Check for new assignments or messages from your professors on CSN’s online learning management system, known as Canvas.

MyCSN: Log on to your MyCSN account to get important information from your Communication

Center, or check your To-Do list.

Campus Locations: Search for buildings or places on campus using this interactive map and GPS.

Academic and Event Calendars: Find out what’s happening on campus, including important dates and

deadlines

News: Read the latest campus news stories and see recent announcements from the CSN Newsroom

Social Media: Join the conversation and check out CSN on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube or CSN President Michael Richards’ blog.
