CSN’s Flores Honored

The Clark County Commission recognized several leaders in the local Hispanic Community this morning, and among them was the College of Southern Nevada’s own Michael Flores.

CSN Director of Communication and Government Affairs Micheal Flores, speaking, was honored by Clark County Commissioner Lawrence Weekly. Flores joined other local Hispanic leaders, including Jacki Ramirez, to his right, and State Senator Ruben Kihuen, to his left.

“He’s just doing a fantastic job in the community,” said Commissioner Lawrence Weekly, who noted that this is Hispanic Heritage Month.

Flores, the director of communications and government affairs at CSN, works with many community groups, and he is a tireless advocate for CSN. He is also the founder of Nevada Youth Network, based in the Sherman Gardens Youth Center. The nonprofit supports local inner city youth, providing tutoring and leadership development.

Congratulations, Michael, on a well-deserved honor.
