We sense some stress. Finals begin freaking you out. You’ve got to do everything because everything’s due. Here at CSN libraries, we understand. Students come in every day trying to finish up assignments and make it through semester. That’s why we’re here to help. The library will be offering its annual “Stress-Free Zone” to help students de-stress during final exams.
On Tuesday, December 6, the Charleston and North Las Vegas Campus Libraries will be hosting a scavenger hunt in the library all day long!
If you stop by any CSN campus library on Monday, December 12, you might find some free goodies too! Expect a variety of snacks depending on the campus library you visit, as well as the ever-handy stress ball stars to squeeze for stress relief, and free pencils if you need one for those scantron bubbles. Supplies and treats are limited—so be sure to come early to make sure you get your swag!
There will also be stations set up inside the campus libraries for coloring (it’s fun as a kid, therapeutic as an adult) and even playing with Legos (Charleston campus only)–look for them on the Monday and Tuesday of Finals week.
If you came into the library on certain days in November, you might have also noticed a few pretty pups parading about. We were lucky enough to be visited by therapy dogs from the nonprofit Love Dog Adventures organization to help students “paws” for a quick study break during the school day. While this de-stressing activity has already passed, you’ll have an opportunity to pet the dogs next semester when they return: March 30 at the CSN North Las Vegas campus library, April 4 at the Henderson campus library, and April 6 at Charleston, all from 12-2pm.
Whether you need to find study space, research materials, or just your peace of mind, your CSN campus library is here for you!
