CSN’s HVAC programs recently embarked on a program self-study and had a independent program review and site visit by a national specialized accreditation body, HVAC Excellence. The HVAC program has met 100% of the requirements for specialized accreditation and consequently has been re-affirmed for specialized accreditation by HVAC Excellence for the next 6 years. Congratulations to our faculty and leadership within our Applied Technologies Department for a job well done.
The Air Conditioning Technology Program provides cutting-edge training in heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVAC/R). Emphasizing practical skills and hands-on techniques, this program prepares students to analyze, synthesize and solve HVAC/R problems.
Graduates can receive the Environmental Protection Agency Section 608 Certification as well as the HVAC Excellence Employment Readiness Certification and are well suited for careers as installers and technicians in air conditioning and refrigeration, in addition to facilities maintenance and related fields.
