CSN to Hold Black Lives Matter Forum

The event will give students, faculty and staff a chance to discuss the social justice movement

black-lives-matter-forumLAS VEGAS, Nov. 2, 2016 – The College of Southern Nevada will host a forum today to discuss the Black Lives Matter movement.

Panelists include Assemblywoman Dina Neal, CSN Criminal Justice Professor Jennifer Hixon, North Las Vegas Police Capt. Robert Hanks and CSN Director of Veterans Affairs Christopher Brown. The event is sponsored by CSN’s African American Heritage Committee and the Black Student Association.

The forum will be preceded by a meet and greet with members of the CSN Police Department. The forum is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 2 in the June Whitley Student Lounge on CSN’s North Las Vegas Campus.
