The CSN West Charleston Campus Library is seeking a motivated College Work Study Student Worker to help out in our InterLibrary Loan (ILL) Department. The CSN ILL Department serves faculty, students, and staff by providing library resources that are not currently held at one of CSN’s three library campus locations. ILL also provides high-quality
medical and health sciences resources to local and national colleges and universities, as well as faculty researchers through the National Network of Libraries of Medicine. The ILL Student Worker job will entail the following: advanced data entry into high-end relational databases for the NN/LM, materials processing for ILL through ILLiad and similar systems, shipping/receiving materials to networked institutions, assisting students with ILLiad and library card account creation, providing a high-level of customer service, use the Millennium ILS for circulation functions related to ILL, and interacting with a variety of software platforms each day.

Required Qualifications:

1. Intermediate/Advanced computer skills.
2. Understanding of database design and operation.
3. Ability to interact with high-end, powerful software suites.
4. Ability to quickly adapt to changing procedures (software functionality) each day.
5. Ability to organize large data sets into manageable sections for database input.
6. Maintain a high accuracy rate when entering data into NN/LM databases, ILLiad, and when assisting CSN ILL customers.
7. Other general duties as assigned.
