Share Your Art in a Bookmark Contest!

Are you a budding artist? Do you love to read? Want to show off your skills and help people mark their place? In honor of Nevada Reading Week (March 2-6), CSN Libraries is holding a bookmark contest all week–and all MONTH–long!

Starting Monday, March 2, you can pick up an entry form at any CSN campus library reference desk to create your artwork, or upload digital artwork! Send digital entries as an email attachment to stephanie.espinoza@csn.edu with “Bookmark” in the Subject line. Files should be JPG, PNG, or PDF, at least 2 MB in size but no more than 20 MB.

Note: the winning image, digital or print, will be cropped to fit a 2×7.25-inch space. Don’t forget to include your contact information! Name, phone number, and email address should be written on the appropriate spot on the print entry forms or should be included in an email.

You can submit up to 2 entries, and must be a CSN student to win. The winning entry will be selected by library employees and the winner will have their bookmark printed and given out to students across the college during Finals Week!

Entries will be voted on for artistic quality and adherence to the theme of books/reading/libraries. Because these bookmarks will be printed professionally and distributed campus-wide, we ask that all artwork be original work and not contain characters, designs, etc. that are copyrighted/not your own (for example, no fan art). Entries with any inappropriate images or language also cannot be considered as they violate the CSN Student Code of Conduct.

For questions, contact stephanie.espinoza@csn.edu. Deadline is March 31! Let your creativity shine! We can’t wait to see what you come up with.
