Use Learning Express for Future Success

The Learning Express Library is a wonderful database for CSN students to use to develop skills for the classroom and workplace. Resources within Learning Express are organized into “Centers.” This article highlights the College Students Center, which is a place to achieve your community college goals and prepare for future success.

This learning center is where you can brush up on your math and English skills and prepare for the placement tests. You can focus on areas where you might need a little extra help:

  • Math Skills Review
  • Reading Skills Review
  • Grammar and Writing Skills Review
  • Science Skills Review
  • Prepare for Graduate School Admissions Exams
  • Prepare for College Placement Exams
  • Prepare for the CLEP® Exams

The modules contain downloadable ebooks, practice tests, interactive tutorials, and practice sets. All content is available on mobile devices. Features include instant test and essay scoring and detailed answer explanations for those challenging math questions. You’re also given guidance about the best way to use the resources.

Prepare for College Placement Exams: This area of the College Students Center in Learning Express focuses on the ACCUPLACER test which is used at CSN to place you in a course related to your current skills and where you’ll be successful. You can take the practice tests to see how well you know the material and then go to the review modules and tutorials to study until you feel comfortable enough to take the placement exam. Save time and money by placing into the course you actually need for your degree.

You can find the Learning Express database in CSN Libraries A-Z list. Register for your own account by creating a login and password so you can save your work and be able to take practice tests over and over again. Registration only requires a valid email address and a password. You can study from home by first logging into the database with your CSN login and password and then log in to your personal account with your Learning Express login and password.
