Library Events: What’s Postponed or Cancelled

Hello everyone!

We just wanted to let you all know that your friendly neighborhood librarians are still here to help you in any way that we can. You can always use the orange “Ask Us” button on our website, email us at library@csn.libanswers.com, or text us at (702) 757-6755.

We have a few events that are on hold for the time being until the campus libraries are open again. First is the paperback book drive for the prison libraries. While you’re at home this would be a great opportunity to clean out that bookcase or that end table of books that you’ve already read so you can make some space for new books. The only books that the prisons won’t accept are hard cover books, true crime, and romance. Anything else is much appreciated, and especially if you have a paperback written in a language other than English. As soon as CSN is open you can drop your paperbacks off at any of the libraries and we will get them to the prisons as soon as we can.

The bookmark contest has been extended. You can submit your digital entries now to stephanie.espinoza@csn.edu or wait until we are open again to submit a hand drawn entry. There will be a winner announced this summer.

Unfortunately, the Love Dogs event had to be cancelled but we are working with them to get dates for them to come during the Fall 2020 semester.

Our regular Stress Free Zone event during Finals Week is still tentatively scheduled to take place on a smaller scale if campus is back open at that time, but we will update you as that time gets closer.

We hope that you are all doing well and adjusting to a more digital lifestyle. Please let the librarians know if there is anything that we can do to help.
