Celebrate National Poetry Month

Visitors to the CSN campus libraries in April will notice a theme—it’s National Poetry Month! Our extensive book collection of poets and poems is featured all month in thematic displays. Browse our library catalog to see the many categories of this genre. Stroll past the Charleston campus library windows to view two exhibits by CSN students—the semester projects of Professor Jacob Elison’s Introduction to Poetry class and poems created out of book titles by our library student workers.

Stop by a campus library on April 21st to gear up for Poem in Your Pocket day! The Academy of American Poets encourages you to celebrate this day by selecting a poem, carrying it in your pocket and sharing it with others you meet throughout the day or on social media using the hashtag #pocketpoem.

And while you’re at the library, you may want to check out a book or DVD to help celebrate the April 23rd birthday of the great bard, William Shakespeare. As always, if you need help, just ask a librarian.
